Anybody quit Facebook here?

Thanks for all the replies. I'm thinking about deleting my account (which I had since 2008) but I'm afraid that people will think that I'm weird for having no FB or something LOL. I opened a second account to manage my pages and applications.

Yeah.

My ex-girlfriend found some dirt on me by religiously stalking my Facebook account. It is when she try to blackmail me that I decided just to kill off my Facebook account.

It's been a year now and never felt better. I do have 20 other different fake accounts though.

Yes, they will think you are weird. Just lie and say you are on Snapchat now. That's what I did. People on FB are stuck there, kinda like the 40 year old who is still stuck in their high school years, so you won't have to worry about them saying something like, "What's your Snap name?" Lol.

I think you cannot be succeed in Facebook marketing without being a user yourself.
You need to understand a users perspective and I think that's hard without being part of it.

It simultaneously irritates me and fascinates me but really - it's easy to quit facebook, I've done it myself thousands of times.

Thousands of times? How many personal accounts do you have? Kidding.

I keep deactivating mine, I just use fake accounts for groups and fan pages I help manage, and of course when I want to stalk someone.

I have had my personal FB profile since 2008 but stopped using it completely since 6 years ago after I finished high school. It's useless and a time waster, I better waste my time here in BHW lol because I know that at least I will learn something useful every day. I still use FB (Messenger app) for communicating with friends & family though via chat, not really a fan of Viber, Whatsapp and all that shit.
