Anybody here get deviated septum surgery?

well then i guess surgery is the only option.unfortunately, the deviation is pretty bad
because higher deviation means troubled breathing as you might already know.
also the more time the septum stays deviated the more chances of chronic facial pain.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I got my surgery about 5 days ago. Just been resting up, sleeping a lot. The pain after the surgery wasn't as bad as I thought. I did have to take some pain killers though. Nose was bleeding for the first 3 days or so, but it did decrease on day 3 in comparison to day 1. Completely normal based on what my doctor told me.
Can't really comment on my breathing yet, because I have these splints in my nose. I'll keep you guys posted though. I'm getting the splints taken out this coming Tuesday.

Yeah glad to hear everything turned out okay
My old boss had that procedure done way back in like 2001-2002 and I remember him talking about that gauze they pack your nose with (it was fuckin hilarious).
He said it started coming out of his nose after a few days and so he figured it was just a little piece and he started pulling it out... Little did he know they packed like a mile of string/gauze up his nose.
He said he was scared shit-less after he got like 2+ft of it out and there was still no end of it in sight, he ended up cutting it off and going to the emergency room where they took the rest of it out, he said all in all there was nearly 6ft of that shit packed up his nose.
He was probably exaggerating a bit but it was funny as hell nonetheless and he had us all on the floor laughing our asses off (LOL).

LOL yeah I heard back then that's what they used. Thankfully, nowadays they use these splints which certainly aren't that long

The week or so after the surgery was rough. I honestly didn't do crap, hence why I was barely on BHW. Pretty much just slept, and when I was up, I watched TV.
Got the plastic splints taken out and I feel AWESOME. I mean, the moment the doctor removed them and I took a breath, it was amazing. I'd never breathed so well. And I find myself sleeping much better; I don't wake up in the middle of the night anymore. Oh AND I don't have a sore throat in the mornings anymore. As of now, this surgery was well worth it.
