^^ This. Don't you find it strange that all these guys telling you it's impossible to rank, are ranking in the niche?
They are just trying to make sure they don't have any new competition, which is understandable.

The fact is, any keyword is attainable.

+1 for this,

When I was starting out I went for easy keywords thinking I would never be able to rank well on competitive ones, however with planning and consistent work I reached page one and it was easy to stay up there once I was.

It's all about seeing what competitors are doing and trying to replicate it and do a little bit extra :)

My father just lost 80k a month to Panda slapping his payday sites. He had gotten there using pure black hat, SENuke, etc. It's my belief that you can only get there, after Panda, using white hat conventional methods.

That's a crock of shit. Blackhat itself, which is mostly off-page, has little impact on how Panda treats your sites. Panda is primarily concerned with ON-PAGE metrics.
 
Did you even do keyword research? If this is your full-time job I think you should know a bit more about the technicalities.

@ DamageX: sorry sir, you are the wrong one. so don't go flaming someone else. It may not have been entirely from the "Panda" algorithm, but regardless spammy links if done improperly will hurt a site. Not to mention, although there is a general consensus as to what the Panda algorithm entails no one but Google knows for sure. For all we know it could entirely be about spammy links. The fact is we just don't know.

This is coming from a successful internet marketing firm owner. (me)

PS: we do case studies.

Incorrect. Google does do some slapping for spammy link methods, but Panda hasn't changed this at all. Panda is designed to judge the quality of page content, not control backlinking.
 
As others have already pointed out, you are going after a crazy competitive
keyword. You will need a lot of patience and a solid budget to make a dent in
rankings for those keywords.

There are people on this forum that are ranking very well for those keywords.
But again, I can confirm they've been after this keywords for quite some time
and have a monthly link budget in the $x,xxx range a month.
 
Lot of discussion here on payday loans.. So I would also like to add something.. I have been also working for payday site.. and it is ranking well on first page for lot many keywords like :
payday loan,cheap payday loans,instant cash payday loans,pay day loan,payday loans,online payday loan service,payday loans online,instant cash loan online,online payday loans,pay day loans

All you need to have a mindful linkbuilding strategy and you will get quick results

SENukeX is a great software but it is best for Niche Sites I guess...

Easy, have a form to capture their details, and sell the leads to a payday loan company.
No affiliate URL and looks like you provide the service.

State in your terms you are an intermediary.

You could also just sign up for a company that provides a javascript form. There are a few, leadsmarket for example offers one. Otherwise you need xml post software.
 
If I were to go after that niche, I would at least want to have a budget of $3-5K per month to spend on SEO and content.

And probably build up a niche focused private network of like 100 websites all pr 4 or higher and add quality content to them all (C-class IP - private whois) and of course do SEO to them too.

But... I think there are better niches out there.
