Anybody here doing local lead gen using FB ads?

Long story short: My partner and I have been experimenting with running ads for local businesses for the last 6 months and have found good success. Now, we're focusing on building an agency around it.

Since we already know copywriting, starting a proper 'marketing business' seems to be the best step forward. We already have 2 clients we've run ads for, however, it's not a monthly gig because they don't need our services monthly.

Why local lead gen? It's significantly easier than going for e-commerce or running campaigns worldwide. I'm creating this thread to meet people in the same industry, and possibly collaborate in one form or another, if we vibe

1) What niches you have covered so far?
2) What countries?
3) CPL?

Hey! The niches we've tried so far are:

Content/Copywriting writing- Global- little to moderate success
Swimming pool remodeling- Local (Florida)- good success
Pest control- local (some city in AU)- good success
Home cleaning during the pandemic- local (India)- great success
Optometrist-local (India)- great success

CPL depends on the country and many other factors, and getting it lower is one of the most fun parts of learning FB ads. Needless to say, local lead gen Ads in India is dirt cheap compared to the US or Canada.

Mostly from existing connections. Some people who buy content from us also own local businesses.
