What setups do you look for in stocks... technicals, fundamentals, etc? Just in general, you don't have to break down your entire strategy if you don't want to.

ive been looking for posts regarding this same thing on here. i spent ALL last week trying to learn options for robinhood. idk wth im doing. Figured maybe daytrading may be easier to start with? if you anyone out here knows of a good tutorial for robinhood or webull to get started in lmk. I havent found one yet that is not just repeating the same jargon every other youtuber is repeating to then link their affiliate link in the description. I dont mind to click an affiliate if i learned something though. If i find something i link it back here. From some digging it seems covered options with an expiration far out can be lucrative this way you can pull profit when you see it fit. But not sure how to actuallly execute this on robinhood. Best of luck mate!

Swing trading on binance futures too..

It’s more profitable than stocks since it’s more volatile, There are more opportunities..
how do you trade? like whats your methodology?

best guide for options is a book called options pricing and volatility. check it out on amazon, that is a good primer on options.

Isn't day-trading more like gambling?

No

Our entire life is pure gambling. The only difference is the risk vs. reward ratio. When I used to trade, I just followed the trend, scalping. If you can anticipate the news, I won't call it gambling.

Show me the chart and I'll tell you the news. FA is almost useless in trading.

@addictedtolearning since you seem to be bold at trading, share your news on current Bitcoin market. I'd appreciate it! :)

Also, I highly disagree that day-trading is not gambling, as per definition:

"Gambling is the wagering of money or something of value on an event with an uncertain outcome"

You cannot tell with certainty if a market goes up or down. Sure, you can make a short analysis and understand the trend, but it can go either way: UP or DOWN

- Extra thoughts:

While day trading may be gambling in my opinion, actual, real trading may not be in some cases. If you are potent enough you can control the markets. Think of whales.

How much time do you spend on analysis for a given market in day-trading?
I used to switch between 1M, 5M and 1H charts to see the trend and read if there were any upcoming news for that day. Nothing fancy. And always traded only EUR/USD, USD/JPY and USD/GBP.

It's actually what I usually do to anticipate Bitcoin cash-outs. Am I a day trader? :D

If you trade in the day (your time), then yes. If you trade in the night, then you are a night-trader. With Bitcoin, there is a different story, those cash-outs, aren't really cash-outs, big players just move the coins from one wallet to another, so they can influence the price.

I postponed trading Tesla, like they postponed battery day. Cashed out all the funds and might jump back in later this year

Yes. I trade FX demo account.
I develop my own skills, because I realise that, FX market are fake and scam just like crypto.

#MarketMakerStyle

For crypto, it’s very hard to understand the market as the big boys can pump and dump the coin at any time, or crash the market because there’s no regulation from any authority. So I just go long for that.
