Hey Guys

Just wondering wheather anyone has tried this and got away with it ?

I have a grey/black hat site selling high risk items (so the merchants say) and im looking to get a merchant account to take credit cards. Iv contacted high risk merchant accounts and its not been going well, so heres my plan -

Make a white hat site with a simlar domain to my black hat site. I would be selling white hat items like electronics or clothes or whatever.

Id contact a normal merchant company and get an account for the white hat site all set up.

Now once iv gotten the merchant account all set up id then put some sort of redirect in my main black hat site when someone wanted to pay with a credit card. They would get redirected to the payment page on my whitehat site and pay and then we are all happy :) i get small charges and the customer can pay with a credit card.

Has anyone done this before ? If not does anyone think it would work ?

I've seen people do something similar when selling products they don't want their cc processors to know about. As far as I know, it works.

It will work until someone will start asking questions, or ask for a refund. Then it will stop working. :-)
Its not a good long term solution, try to contact offshore banks and see if you can establish a merchant account with them.

I reckon you'll lose sales if they figure they're being redirected.

(I would definately think it was suspicious, and take my business somewhere else)

Sure you wouldnt even know, once you click checkout you'd go to a website with an extra - in the domain or something.

What would be the problem if someone wanted a refund ? If they wanted a refund id give them a refund, why would the cc processor even ask why i refunded someone ? Unless id a high rate of refunds or a high chargeback rate.

I have 2 quotes from offshore merchants, one is $3000 to set up and they never even mentioned rates the other was $1000 up front 15% for 6 months which goes down to 9% if all is good, they also keep 10% reserve for 6 months.

If this is the situation, try these http://www.instabill.com/ or these http://www.advantageprocessors.com/

Aready have, no go. Iv tried 50+ im sick to death of fillin in apps.

I can understand your frustration. Not sure where you're located, but some countries are a pain in the ass when it comes to high risk accounts. I had the same problem once, and although some of the above agreed I didn't like their terms.

Eventually I got an account from bank. However, the same bank refused to deal with me when I approached alone. So I found a lawyer who did all the job for me, and it wasn't that expensive.

Just curious, what types of products make it a high risk account?

So someone comes to my blackhat site and adds 5 items to their cart, how do i then send them over to my whitehat cart and keep the items in the cart that they have chosen ?

you need to clean up your ass well if the merchant knows how to check where your traffic is coming from they can ban you as well

Anyone out there do this ? or anyone have any ideas on how to do it ? Iv just gotten an application through the post for a merchant account with a big UK company and im not sure what website to put in the app. Is there a way i can send vistors from my balckhat site to my whitehat site checkout and keep the items in the shopping cart from blackhat site ?

Thanks for the help guys

So no-ones done the old switchure ? I think il set a simpler website up with simpler prices and then mask the traffic so the CC company doesnt know were the traffic is coming from, well i hope they dont lol
