hey, I've been there many times. I'm going again in may end, will you be there? 
Hotel Booking in North Goa -
Ginger - Cheap and nice for a business visit (No Pool) (2k a day)
O hotel - Expensive But its HEAVEN (about 4k a day)
Sonesta Inns - Stayed here, Loved it. (around 2.5k per day) Good Rooms, Pool, Nearby to great restaurants and good facilities. Best Choice.
here's a few good places n things to do -
>>Tito's Club (visit at 11pm in night)
>>If you drink beer, only buy King's beer (Not Kingfisher)
>>If you drink alcohol, get 3-4 back to your place (its damn cheap)
>>Visit Bagha Beach.
>>Visit Candolim (NORTH GOA) and visit sunny side up restautrant , they have AWESOME food.
>>If you're going with family, Go to Casino Royale, (3500Rs per Head, free 2000 Rs playing chips n Buffet), Your family will love it.
>>If you want internet - get tata docomo 3g stick, very good network
>>Never eat at beach shacks, food's not so great and rates are 5x times.
If you have any issues there, let me know, I know a local person who is pretty influential person there.
