Has anyone actually made money from spamming yahoo answers?
I am going to make a bot that will automate spamming yahoo answers (for my personal use, not sale), and was looking to see if it is worth the trouble.

I just started examining the whole yahoo answers thing post penguin - not to regain lost traffic, as I didn't lose much, but as part of my plan to google proof myself a bit.
I did buy answer assualt for this, and while not thrilled with the program it does make it easier.
As for yahoo answers, I'm actually surprised as to how easy it is. I bought five level 2 accounts to test, with all plans to push them and see what I can get away with, and I haven't got one banned yet.

So you don't actually post your affiliate links on yahoo answers, but post links to your website? Then I would say SEO is a WAY better source of traffic than YA right?

i think posting affiliate links on YA will get you banned much easier, but i am not exactly sure because i don't have much experience on YA. although, i was building an account up with regular quality posts and i got banned, i wasn't posting any links but i was probably posting too fast. post links for your site is better and more safe, people use YA to rank their post in g00gle so its a win win, you get traffic to your site from your YA post ranking in the SERPS and you also get regular traffic from people browsing on YA. and, it gives your site an authority backlink at the same time. 3 good things in 1

I don't ever post affiliate links on my Yahoo answers but I do post links to my main site. It creates a trickle of extra traffic but I do it mainly because of Yahoo Answer's authority and the fact they add more diversity to your link profile.

I do..and it is all passive income...now it went to about $200/month for 20 questions that i answered in february 2011...;)

And i am preparing a super-mega campaign...

And one thing i learnt...people have waaaaay to many myths about what works and what doesnt on YA...less competition for me! :captain:

I would be interested in YA bot... If you could share it some time myb :D

In my opinion people should not worry much about the 'ban'. You should take it as a normal process and getting a level 2 account is not that difficult and if you are lazy enough you can buy them also.

And coming to making money from YA, yeah I made like $300 using YA. But the method was boring!

The concept of answer assault was workable to a profitable level until the owner decided to sell the same diluted product in the form of answer swipe. The updates of answer assault stopped all of a sudden so it's not working at the moment.
