Hey Anyone here tryed creating a internet lottery? I have a few questions for them who have created their own internet lottery: - If you have done it, how did you execute it? - Did you have to get permissions from the authorities of the country in which the hosting server is? - Did you just create a website containing the lottery logic? - How did you go about making the visitors believe the site is not a scam? - Please post the link to you lottery site here also
lotteries are run by the government so you cant start one up yourself. why? because they make millions and millions and millions, so they make it illegal
What I hear mean is internet lottery, where everything is done via a website. I don't mean like national lottery where you have to go into shops and buy ticket.
Lotteries are regulated by the Gaming Commission in the UK, have to be independantly audited and laws change for each country where tickets/entries will be sold. They are classed as games of Luck. Your a lot better off trying to work with Scratchcards/Games of skill
Is hard to do the lottery, each country has their won...Is why casino, sportsbook, poker better bets.... if you try to get cc processing you will see what I mean... I had a similar brainstorm about 3 years ago, spent a lot of money for no reason,,,
I'm sure it not legal to run an internet lottery, as said, too much money to be made, bad business for governments.
There are very specific laws in most countries that prevent you from starting your own lottery. And the ones that don't, how legit do you think you will look? I get all kinds of scam emails every day saying I won this lottery and that one. Raffles/contests/sweepstakes are also regulated. People can still get away with running them but you open yourself up to legal problems if someone challenges you.
lottery, fastest way to get into jail. I am not aware of any country that will let you jump in on the cheap to do it. it's something left to the underground market. it's fast money.
If thats the case I remember a lady selling her house via online raffle and it hit news. She got 100k over the house value that way.
A few months back, a friend and I were going to do a site called celebrityraflles.com. We were going to sell raffle tickets for dinner with a celebrity. Good celeb booking fees ranged from $50k-100k, but in the US, people are obsessed with them so it'd be a good seller. We came to realize that in the U.S., online raffles/lotteries are illegal. And even offline, they must be non-profit for charity. I do know some guys who have run an online raffle, but they don't anymore. I assume they got into hot water.
