I found this video ranking on 1. page of google and YT for keyword "potty training" (361 000 results in YT).

After closer look, this video has:
  • 3,4k views (not even high retention - about 60%)
  • 0 comments
  • 32 subs
  • 35 backlinks
  • no socials

Can anyone please explain how this video made it to the first page? This seems to break all rules about " YT ranking guides/threads" ... or am I missing something?

I checked a few of the other videos and it seems that this one was categorized as:
Category: Howto & Style

The others weren't in the Howto section, maybe that has something to do with it. Because seeing as it's only got 1 Google +1 (and no other socials) there's no way it should rank than well.
Maybe Matt Cutts +1'd it. :P
