It's a myth that youtube partners all make a lot of money from it. Do we have any partners amongst us who can tell us if it's at least worth the work, how hard it is to be accepted and so on?

The top partners make a living off of it.They make in the 6 digits I believe. But that's only like the top 10 I think.

The top youtubers easily make 6figures.

First off you need something original? What do you plan on doing? What types of videos? Its such a vague question i cannot answer that.

how hard it is to be accepted and so on?
Again this depends. I have know for one person to have his video go viral and they made his account partnership. Yet some people have over 10k subscribers and are not in the program.

Unless you have a plan on making creative videos for a year. I wouldn't do it.

I've heard from a lot of people that subscribers aren't as important as the views when it comes to getting accepted for partnership.I'd say try to apply when you've got at least 2k views per video you have on your channel and you have a good amount of channel views too.

I don't think channel views are important, I saw someone with less than 5,000 channel views but with up to 1mil video views becoming a partner.

to try your chance to become a partner : try 1k views / video and a good insight chart (lets say you have "hot" video for HotSpots and not each are "cold" but it doesn't matter much, what they are looking is videos mainly)
