Various free and paid plugins are avail which can perform this task , depend from where you are fetching the images and description.

Ifftt.com you can set up images grabed from
somewhere and posted to you.

@sam.hun0701 care to be more specific? I imagine there are tools to do that, that's why I opened this thread. Can you recommend a tool for me? I would be using images from google / bing. Do you have any experience with such tools? Can you recommend one that works in self-hosted wordpress?

I am using self hosted wordpress sites. Ifttt only works on wordpress.com sites.
