As a WP Plugin?

I do like this one: http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-slimstat/

You can see user data and IP addresses and everything. Straight from the WP backend.

"Jetpack" which is an official set of applications from WordPress themselves includes a site stats section which I've used before for analytics and had no issues with some sites in the past.

Alternative to Google Analytics would be for example statcounter which offers WP plugin.
