YouTube picks three stills for you to choose from. Is there any way to figure out which ones will get picked so you can stuff it in the right place in the video?

Have you tried putting it in the middle?

For instance, if your video is 2 minutes long, put your prefered still section at the 1 minuted mark.

the three shoots are every quarter .
example : if your video is 4 minutes , then first shot after minute exactly.
the second after 2 minutes (120 seconds exactly) , the third after 3 minutes.
