Any Uber Drivers on the Forum?

I'm curious if there's anyone on the forum who is currently doing this or has at least tried it? I'd like to know your experiences and how exactly the pay works before I consider signing up. I'm currently watching videos on YouTube and it seems promising.. but it looks like in one of the videos I watched.. people are commenting that they've lowered the rates (which means not making so much as a driver now) So if I could get some feedback from people that have actually done this that would be great

I am in Atlanta right now visiting. We went bar hopping last night and we used Uber 3 times. I asked the first driver a lot of questions about the business. He said that Uber takes up to 20% and a $1 per ride. A lot of the rides are only the minimum ($6) so they take the 20% and the $1 and he is left with $4. He also said that Atlanta was super saturated with Uber drivers, so it was getting harder and harder to make money. He said there were a few 100 drivers! People actually drive from Alabamba just to be an Uber driver in Atlanta on the weekends!One more thing he said was that Uber was having legal problems with the taxi companies. Uber is taking all if their business! Inthe future there will be more heavy taxes and regulations for Uber drivers.

I drive for both Uber and Lyft few hours here and there and I just created a forum (no members yet haha)

To be totally honest the money is really good for what it is. But it depends on your area, the demand and your car and some other factors.

I'm actually waiting for Uber and Lyft to make it here to Israel, the taxi companies have somehow convinced the government to block Uber from operating here for now. Eventually it will work out, hopefully. I used Uber when I was in the states, it was awesome, and much cheaper/easier than cabs/buses.

Well, Uber started in Bulgaria, Sofia but they were banned after an year

You'd make more money renting out the cars to Uber drivers than to drive yourself in the long run. You'd need money to buy the cars however. The majority of Uber drives lease their cars (from my own experience all I ever see are BMW's and Prius).

I was an Uber driver for maybe 10 days or so, $360 in revenue(minus expenses), 33 trips, 800 miles into my car, 2 bad experiences... not my thing.
