Are there any suggestions from BHW members for "submitting the website in Dmoz Directory"

How to select category?
How to and How much Content to Submit?
How to write Title?
How much time it may take for them to accept website?
Any suggestions?

Although i tried to study the submissions of already listed sites. Like how they they wrote title and small brief. But dont know how they selected category?

Thanks

Personally I don't think a DMPZ listing has any bearing on SEO anymore. The easiest way is to register an expired domain that already has a listing, I did a search for some a couple of years ago and found about 10 in 15 minutes of searching.

Do you believe that Dmoz has no importance now for SEO?

Thanks

How to select category?
Select the category that most suits your website - spend the most time searching through DMOZ, find other sites that are the same as your site, and take a note of their categories.
Make a shortlist of the best categories for your website - you probably want about 5.
Then look at the "last updated" date for that category - you want a recently updated category or you will wait for ages to be listed (Its probably the second most common reason for not getting listed because there is no editor for your category, or the editor doesnt do much work).

How to and How much Content to Submit?
You need to fill in everything well, spend time doing your description and so on, its really important and if its not right it will delay listing.
As for content on the actual website, it needs to be tiptop, about the subject matter, original and minimal advertising - this is probably the primary reason you wont get listed if you dont follow that guide.

How to write Title?
The title should be the name of the website/company, followed by a short summary of what the site is about. completely factual.
How much time it may take for them to accept website?
It can literally take months to years to be listed depending on who is editing the category.
Any suggestions?
Follow all of the advise above, spend as long as you can preparing it, because you cant resubmit, it just wont work. so you need everything perfect before you submit.

Thanks David for Kind and Meaningful Answer.

^ no problem at all.

Just in case you decide to forgo the whole submission process and buy an expired domain as someone suggested, its really easy to find one using broken link checker software. I used xenu in the past to go through Dmoz's pages and found many dead links which were still not registered. I set mine up similar to the old sites to help prevent deletion.
