You can use ahrefs and majectic seo to find out the backlinks.

Use Google Webmaster Tools or OpenSiteExplorer these are the best.

Google shows a lot more back links in WMT now then they used to.

Unless they've updated hrefs, I thought they only showed a handful until you subscribe? I know they show the total figure but what about the exact URL for each link?

That's what the disavow tool requires no?

Just by using the disavow tool, it google and Ning webmaster tools and/or asking the websites to remove them.

But if they are the type of links I think they are, you have little chance of the websites removing them. So just stick with the disavow tool, I've used it and it recovered one of my hit sites, so it does work.

I have Ahrefs subscription so you can send me the URL"s if you need the reports for them. Later you can analyse which are spam or worthy links

There are a lot of services for this purpose. You may try Linkdelete or others that appear on the first page of Google Search. Or you may consider new ones for they are much more improved with free trial packages, such as LinkQuidator.
However, It's up to you, depending on the service you feel comfortable with and on the prices you can afford.
    Success! :)
