Hey, I'm planning to start up a niche blog, but have now idea on what the best layout or host or blogging platform that works the best. Does anyone here have any experience?

It will be a small one and extreme budget. How cheap can I setup a blog with my own domain?

WordPress £0

.online, .site, .space, .fun, .pw, .press, .host, .club, .website namecheap $1 I think ATM

Hosting $3 a month. Plenty of hosts you can use in the early days while you development your blog. Look to upgrade as you get traffic.

I've heard that a .com domain does better in rankings, is this true?

I don't believe it does no. Having said that do visitors trust a .com more than other TLDs and therefore click through to your site more? Possibly. They obviously cost more though.

.com and .net are the best! make sure you have your focus keyword in domain. Also better if you buy dropped domain - but make sure it's not filtered

I would suggest to go with .com .net .org domain, and i think not only visitors but also search engines trust more to that type of extensions, other types like .shop .host .club and so on have bad reputation because cheap and used mostly by spammers
just research some hosting that gives you 1 year of free domain, if i remember 1&1 ionos gives you that and many others
edit: about blog platform, yes wordpress is perfect

Hey

Choose a .com domain + 1 year hosting at Namecheap, it won't cost u a leg, or go for extremely cheap way, choose Godaddy domain(first year $0.99) + Namecheap hosting.

If you are ready to write tons of contents, then host it yourself, if you just post XX posts in a year, don't bother with your money, choose wordpress.com, free forever.

Can I earn just as much with a free wordpress site as a .com site? (Just thinking of a possible future, so I don't fuck up in the start)

I wouldn't. It's a few quid to start and will set you up on solid foundations for the future.

Go for namecheap or GoDaddy hosting place, more cheap and good service.

Do what I do: Reverse engineer my competition.

Enter your keywords into Google and find all the blogs in your niche

Pay attention to their themes and design

Come up with something similar then CUSTOMIZE LATER as you scale up your BRAND

First, you plan to buy low-cost hosting and domain... Here I Suggest FastComet this only hosting provides low-cost hosting plus some domain names also.

This is the way to set up your blog as cheap with a starter.

as cheap as it gets: use blogger platform so domain (you.blogger.com) & webhosting is free (you can add domain later on), google like blogger sites + integrates well with google ads.

Yes .com domains are better rankings compare with this .online, .site, .space, .fun, .pw, .press, .host, .club, .website.

You can use blogger, cheap and never will pay for hosting except domain if you need a custom domain name
