Any tips/tricks for scraping Messenger?

Hi all,

Batting around some ideas for new ways of generating leads... curious if anyone has scraped Messenger? Or even attempted to? Potentially for phone numbers/contact lists.

Thanks
You might consider running ads to attract potential customers.

Scraping Messenger for phone numbers will get you banned fast. That data is private and platforms watch for that hard.

Better collect opt in contacts through funnels instead of trying to pull hidden info.

If you want scalable leads, use compliant methods like lead ads, opt-in funnels, or Messenger automation where users voluntarily submit their info.

Not worth it, scraping Messenger violates Meta rules and risks bans, stick to legit lead gen methods.

Scraping Messenger for phone numbers/contact lists is extremely risky and against platform policies. Accounts and BMs can get banned very fast, especially if you’re pulling personal data. Not worth it long term.
If you’re looking for scalable lead gen, better focus on compliant methods: click-to-message ads, lead forms, or building owned audiences (email/SMS) through proper opt-in funnels. Much safer and more sustainable.

Well access to that data is tightly restricted for privacy and security reasons. Safer approach is using compliant lead methods like ads, forms, or approved integrations.

I don't think you'll be able to collect contacts from the messenger, because your account will be blocked quickly, and as far as I know, there is no ready-made software yet.

If you want to expand your potential customer base, try lead generation ads or create a voluntary signup funnel. Leveraging Messenger automation is also a great way to get users to voluntarily provide you with information!

Use compliant methods such as lead generation ads, voluntary signup funnels, or Messenger automation; customers often leave all their information there, and you'll definitely collect it.
