Hello, guys, can you please share any tips about starting a gaming news website? Here's what I have done already:

- I already put 150 articlees this 6 months just to get traction from Google.
- My Facebook page for this gaming news site has 1k followers already and still growing (Planning to use this to gain traffic)

But I have some problems:

- Search console is not indexing some of the articles. It says "Crawled, currently not indexed"
- I am having trouble to find the right theme

So guys, any tips will help. My vision for this gaming news website of mine is to at least get 1 million pageviews per month.

Try any magazine theme. As for the indexing issue, there is nothing you can do about it except manually submit each article for indexation. You can also use some ping tools to quicken the process.

Focus on one niche of gaming instead of a generic gaming site.

Focus on setting up a script that "listens" to your competitors

Figure out which gets the most engagements in terms of comments/social media shares etc

Focus on those

It's too easy to write tons of stuff NO ONE WILL READ when running news sites

Focus instead of stuff that your target audience actually cares about

This is where REVERSE ENGINEERING your competition comes in

Here's what I would do if I were you

COMMIT to only 5 "TOP" News items per day

Have a bot/script or your VA listen to your top 10 competitors
You should also listen to big accounts on Twitter/X that cover your niche which publish news links

Pick the top 5, rewrite them in a SENSATIONALISTIC way

Share in the same social media channels you used to scrape your competitors
- reddit
- FB groups
- twitter hashtags
- linkedin groups
- DISQUS comments section of MAJOR blogs/news sites in your niche (be careful with this - don't drop links - focus on promoting your nonclickable domain brand)

GET PEOPLE TO SIGN UP TO YOUR MAILING LIST - ie., "NEWS UPDATES"

Keep publishing, keep growing your list

Eventually, stop publishing on social media and just rely on your list for traffic as well as rely on your email-based readers to share your stuff and grow your audience

GOOD NEWS: Depending on your niche, you may not need a big list to start making money from paid ads/solo ads Reinvest whatever cash you earn to grow your list

REMEMBER: THE MONEY IS IN THE LIST
