any tips on selling cards on ebay?

Curious as to know if anyone is really good at selling cards on ebay? What tips or tricks do you use to sell your cards and still make a profit. (talking about games like magic the gathering , yugioh ect)

Break down your collection, find the valuable cards and list them up individually. Take the rest of the cards and list them up together or throw them away.

With a niche like playing cards, it is very difficult to crack. Other sellers simply have more stock than you. Unless you can get truckloads of these for dirt cheap, you will probably not be making much profit either. As scallen said, your best bet would be to find the valuable cards, list and sell them, then sell the crap cards all at one or so. Good luck !

What I have done with baseball cards may work for other cards. Put together about 20 bags of RANDOM cards. Let's say 100 cards of low value per bag. Now take 3 high value cards and place one in each of three of the twenty bags.

Show the high dollar cards on your auction and explain the odds of getting one of them. Now sell them as grab bags. People seem to love it. It's a game to them and sometimes the bids really go higher than expected. Many people bid on multiple bags.
