Any Tips on Not Getting banned on DP?

I personally know how not to get banned from there... I wrote one hello to everyone and never went back... that was about 1 1/2 years ago... I never was banned, I go read some of the ridiculous posts but tire of it within minutes.

If you have a good product, you'll make money, because people will let others know on the thread if its good. I made about $500 selling a ebook on DP. But I had a lot of good reviews, too, and I didn't sell some 5-page, double spaced, badly typed out junk. My book was about 25 pages, and detailed.

WTF? how not to get banned? don't brake rules.

I use to sell on DP awhile ago, but its way too much maintenance answering all the questions and dealing with your average DP member.

Learn how to bump your own thread and get it on the front page every day. Some ways you can do this is by:

- Lower your price by a few dollars and post the new price change
- Act like your download link went down for a period of time and make a post saying your download link is now back up
- Say that you have a limited amount then you can make posts like only 30 left
- Add a new item to your package

- Do give out at least two free review copies to someone with high itrader Not only they bump your thread but also you will notice a very sharp rise in sales after a good review by someone with high trader
- Donot Bump your posts uselessly such as ' details sent' 'thanks for the review' or 'two copies sold' etc etc THIS WILL GET YOU BANNED if you make bumps with useless post like this thats the main reason people get banned .
- Avoid disputes , flaming etc and especially with high reputation members. If they report you they will be given importance.

I second that, the main reason you get banned for is "thread bumping".. for example, if someone posted a review of your product and you quote it and write "thanks for the review" < this is thread bumping according to DP MODs. make sure you add some information along with the thanks, best is to answer 2-3 queries at a time..

I'd like to add more to it.. there is another common BAN-Reason which is DUPLICATE ACCOUNT .. Don't exchange fake itraders with your friends, no fake reviews or thread bumps. There are a lot of DP accounts so its really impossible to keep track of those fake iTraders and friend-bumps, BUT these things are pointed out once ANY of your post is REPORTED. MODs review an account from day 1 and then look for such things and then BAN you.

If a customer isn't happy with what he bought from you, deal him in PMs, don't let him shout out in the thread and HAND HIM OVER THE REFUND.. yes that's right. In short, don't let him REPORT your thread/post.

Another tiny trick to know if your post has been reported, using the DP SPY ( forums.digitalpoint.com/spy.php ) you can keep an eye of the REPORTED posts apart from every other activity on DP.
