I'm nearing 50k followers, my last 25k or so followers are strictly from FLC people on large makeup artist accounts.

I know changing niches on an account can be a really bad thing, but i'm hoping if i change it to a female related niche i can survive the change.

I know an easy change would be to makeup but i know absolutely nothing about makeup (im a dude)

I'm also trying to explore option on monetizing it somehow without changing it at all.

Any tips on monetizing a personal page?

What other female dominant niches are there? (fashion??)

    Any help is appreciated.

I don't think changing niches would be that ineffective if you have a mass female following, it might take a while but its definitely going to be more profitable than a personal account. Fashion is pretty broad and its reasonably easy to find content either look through the likes on a popular account and find the most popular ones or mass download photos through tumblr ripper.

The biggest and most marketable niche is fashion imo

I don't think it should be an issue turning your page into a Makeup niche as long as you are certain that the majority of your followers are females. A clever way to encourage more people to follow you when you make the switch is to let them know you are willing to feature talented, up and coming makeup artists and enthusiasts. That way, when people read your bio, they follow in hopes that you might feature them someday. You may lose a bunch of followers once you start posting all-makeup, but I don't think you're going to regret it at all. Brands are always on the lookout for influential Instagram accounts that can promote their products, and makeup is in the 'Beauty' market side of 'Fashion' -- and it's a multi-billion-dollar (per annum) industry. I'd go for it. To monetize, you can check out what other major IG accounts in your niche are advertising. Get the brands' names, check their official websites, get their contacts, and get in touch to introduce yourself. Once they see that your account is influential, they'll get back to you with some offer. In due time, brands will start taking notice and come to you instead.

Diet/weightloss/skincare is huge when it comes to women.

Lots of CPA networks have these offers. But be careful though, most reputable companies don't want you to get leads/sales from IG. So talk to your AM before running those offers.
