I own a locksmith company (a legit one not a scammer one) was wonder about any tips to show up on the top 3 for the google maps in cities that are not within like a ten mile radius of me, thanks.

Try increasing the amount of reviews your company has that should help.

yeah figured that since one of my competitors has 27 reviews he's showing up well for a lot of towns. I am dominating my town and like 2 surrounding ones. Problem is my two competitors have more then doubled the amount of reviews and its deff taking away a lot of business

Inbox me and I can do that for you! Will be paid obviously

To do a proper job ie: You'll actually show up.

1. Create a new address in each town. You can use virtual offices or mailboxes for this where you haven't got a real shop.
2. Create a separate listing for each address.
3. Claim each listing by getting the postcard sent out.
4. Then focus on standard local business SEO (Reviews, citations adding content etc etc)

That's what I do anyway. I'm sure there are bulk ways for large national businesses but I'm fairly small so have never bothered with them.

I've seen locksmiths have multiple locations on Google but they get reported pretty fast from legit companies so I don't think that's worth it especially since I put in a lot of time in seo (and money before I started doing it on my own).

Plan to expand is...

Reviews, lots of good reviews on google, yelp, angies etc.

Geo targeted backlinks, like business directories for specific towns and chamber of commerce.

Content, not make it look spammy but we'll written content on my site with the towns I'm looking to expand

Blogs, idk if it's that effective but I guess worth a shot

Pictures posted on site, blogs with Geo targeted keywords

Videos, I've heard videos are good for local seo. Even if it's just a slideshow, and one of my competitors has a ton of videos on his site and shows up extremely well (also has a ton of reviews though)

Might be forgetting something but that's the plan.
