Google news is only good for indexing. Otherwise, I don't see any other advantage of it.
I agree.
I meant the new versions are "almost useless", unless it shows up in news tab (old edition).
Can only be good for "news jacking" or selling PBN/guest posts.

You have to constantly grind in order to gain authority in the news section. Out of like 10 posts only generally only 3 or 4 news articles get traffic and not necessarily from Google news but organically.
Focus on getting both of these and you do not know what post may go viral by coming to the top stories. Make your news articles stand out and you should not prefer quantity over quality.

but when you not know how to write the structure of a news stories, then you will not get approved?
Can you adding affiliate banner, textads on your google news site or adding link in the footer to your main site to get traffic, is that allowed on a google news site?

To get traffic from Google News, you have to drill down in terms of sub-niches.
This is the point a lot of people miss.
They think that as long as they feature news within a broader niche, then that's all they need to get accepted by Google News.
It doesn't work that way.
Not only should your URLs be formatted a certain way (and this means making adjustments on your WordPress settings), but you also have to drill down in terms of your target niche.
The more differentiated or specific your sub-niche is, the higher the chance that you will get traffic from Google News because you're included in their news sources.
For this to happen, you have to be quite regular in terms of publication.
You can't just publish every once in a while and then hope to make it.
It doesn't work that way.

Subniche is for me this ( example)
flyfishing news
- flyshing rods serveral brands
- flyfisch reels serveral brands
etc, etc ....
ot Digital Marketing

- ppc marketing
- inbound marketing......
but when is it not allowed have links to my main site with product peomotions or my services than a google news site is worthless ...

I think when google not allows this then news traffic is worthless, you can not monetize it.

A lot of regular content updation is required after getting approved. Just getting approval as news blog is useless.

Deep thinking question today:
where is the difference between a niche "blog" with multiple topics posting 15 posts daily or a niche "news" site with multiple topics posting 15 posts a day?
For me it's the same especially when so much of the big boys using wordpress? (Vip version , not the free version).
I will doing deeper research to find out how news sites monetize their "news" site all with the permission of the google news policies and rules....
I see on many they have a lot of ads on it, but it's forbidden on google news......

This is "Generation 3" sites at this point and honestly, Google's organizing to support small independen journalism that's well administered
If you are a 1-time project with no writers behind it -- or trying to use ChatGPT - You will not likely find success on Google News.
The Keys:
- 10+ articles daily
- Quality content people will read and then look to other stories

- social media sharing

Or can I have them below the news article under related post, marked as
