Any tips for German SERPS?

It is the same as other country domains, just purchase .de domains to enjoy a small advantage over a default domain in the German SERPs
I'm not from Germany but I have created multiple .de sites before.

If you build strong links after, it doesn't really matter.

For some of my image based site using german keyword its work well between .de and other tld domains .org .net, for visitors depends on content and link building only cause this is image based so I just focus to get many post, aslo with France target I'm using weird domain (expired domain with half Chinese word) work well too 
maybe different if your target is "specific local keyword" to get more trust from many people and choose your site to visit maybe you need to go with .de
