Any takers for quality article writing?

With the amount of competition around in various services including article I was wondering if there are any takers for top notch articles? With all these $1 article writers I sometimes wonder if there is a market for high quality articles. I was thinking of launching a service charging around $15/article(400-500 words) and I was wondering if there would be takers for it. It would be great if I could see some of your opinions. I've seen people selling such services on other "popular" internet marketing forums, but not on Black Hat World. As i've been saying throughout this post, if I see that there is a market for this I would probably list this service under the services section of Black Hat World. Thanks!

I know of websites where we can sell our articles for lots more than the price I am quoting, but the problem is that a major part of the sale is taken away as commission and it takes ages to make a sale(Maybe even more than a month). You're not even sure if all your articles are going to be sold. So taking everything into consideration, I think this would be a better ploy as the money would directly land into my Paypal account and I wouldn't have any hassles with fees or commission. What's your take?

I have successfully charged $.03 and even $.04 per word and gotten clients, but they have almost entirely been for writing web copy -- entire websites' copy (no HTML, though, just web content) -- not just articles. You have to position yourself as a writer with absolute shitloads of experience writing solid sales copy in all niches, which means you need a profound portfolio to point at and at least a couple of excellent reviews from fairly well-known names. (I'm still kicking myself for dropping Harlan Kilstein as a client before I knew who he was...would've been a huge boost to my writing career.)

It helps to spend $60 or so posting well-written, professional sounding ads on some major IM forums.

There is a market for articles like this. Acutally in a month or two I might be looking for someone to write 5 or so good quality articles. Also it might help if you listed what areas you specialize in.

I've got (2) women in the Philippines with college degrees, flawless English who are pounding out re-writes and originals for around $3 a pop. They would've been making $15 an article if they didn't live in the Philippines. Good luck outbidding that island nation!

Dev I think it depends on the quality of the writing that is put forward.I would pay more if the articles where great.
