Any Success With Web 2.0 Links?

I know a lot of people on here are against Web 2.0 Links, but has anybody had any success with them for reasonable difficulty keywords?

I know a Web 2.0 on it's own is no good but I'm talking about tiering links and blasting with MR, GSA etc.

Or is there another link strategy I should look at?

Really? And you see the benefits on your money sites?

I've been told a mixture of responses during my time in SEO, some say do it, some say don't

It's nice to hear someone reputable actually confirm it!

Because I've never seen good results with web 2.0s, and I always recommend people to stay away from them, but maybe I'm not doing it right
 
They’re good for branding since you want to grab all the subdomains from the big web 2.0s and use your brand in the url. And yes tiered link building with automated software is common when building web 2.0s since they won’t get penalized and can pass link juice to money site
 
I'm fairly new to it, but they do still work. What I do is make a few with high quality content and get them indexed in Google. Once they are indexed, link to your money site, then take those few and run links to them in gsa, rankerx.

However, even with the automated tools, you still need proxies, captcha breakers, premium lists for decent results. Take the time to learn them in and out before you hit start.

Depends on the niche. You can make them work for long tail or local businesses. Pretty useless for high competition keywords or niches. When I was relatively new to SEO, I tried ranking an adult site using Web 2.0/Socials lol...you can guess how well that panned out :)
 
They worked for me until they were deleted. I don’t waste my them anymore. If I was going to use web2 again, I’d only use them for branded links.

There was a time when you could blast highly active expired tumblr blogs and rank. The time was 2019. They're not as successful anymore and serve better as well written tier 2 posts, but still.
 
Not sure if they can push you front page, but surely I see them affecting ranks in some niches.

However, my favorite way is to build only a few. Unique content. Ideally over 2-3k/ blog.
And for second tier no spam... or almost none :)
I prefer cheap PBNs and even cheap guest posts. Just send a couple of links towards them every now and then.

Also, if I am patient, I let them weeks/months to index on their own. Those that index on their own, get the most links on second tier.
Those that don't index even after a few months, I send 2-3 links hoping they will help with indexing. If they still don't get index, I forget about them.
 
Nevermind people saying its ok to blast 2.0s

2.0s are on subdomains and seen as independent sites, regardless if on wordpress.com or blogspot.com

if you blast them and make them toxic, so too will the outgoing links from them not be trusted or pass any weight.

if you drip feed them to juice them up thats another story
 
Web 2.0 links alone hardly make any difference
Guest posts are a better starting point
