i watched so many videos of ppl taking cargo ship, i went there and died 5 times to AI . almost broke my pc

I got that game in 2013 and played non stop. I think I have something around 300 hours on it. I have not played it much since 2019. I picked it back up around then and played for 20 hours or so before I got bored with it again.

the last time i played rust was in 2013 - 2014 I was playing for more than 5 hours a day at the time, good old days. now you're gonna have to get a very expensive computer in order to play that game

I used to play that game years ago.
Originally, I just played on the vanilla servers solo, but then I made friends with this Russian guy who taught me how to play the game better. There was one month where I built a fortified base that nearly lasted until the server reset day. A clan ended up successfully raiding it, but before that point, I managed to keep everyone out of my labyrinth of a base.
I stopped playing around the time they released that blueprints update. At the time, it just made the game too tedious for solo players, although I have no idea if it's any better now.

Ah, that's a shame.
The game was pretty hostile and full of psychos back when I played it, but I won't lie, their brand of crazy made the game fun.

Oh yes. I recall. It’s not that same game anymore. Huge clans or a bunch of kids. The only way to get away from that is to join the modded servers where it’s meant to be solo or duo but you wind up playing against people that can’t seem to understand the point of the game is to die and start over… cry babies.

I remember I tried modded servers toward the end of me playing the game. There was one modded server I played on called RustEZ PvE that was pretty good if you wanted to learn more about how to survive that aspect of Rust.

i remember when Rust was in Beta in 2014/15- i had a friend on steam who knew
1 of the developer team personally and he got us a bunch of free steam keys.
thing is, i activated my free steam key 7 years ago and still never played it.
i do confess to watching Oblivion / Welyn / JordanRants videos .

it's still hostile, and can't trust anyone.. teamed up with 3 players i found in safezone, farmed with them, built the base.. then they killed me n changed the codes lol since then i play solo,
ended that wipe turning their life to hell, i had landmine blue print kept putting landmines on the door entrance till they moved base.
