Any risks using VPS with SEO Tools?

I recently signed up for a VPS loaded with some tools because my computer internet connection is slow and can't handle a blast of Scrapebox comments. In addition, it is a 5-year old lap running with Core 2 so it hardly handle the heavy job.

The VPS I signed up for runs Xeon 8 core with 40GB RAM (Heck!)

Does it involve any risks in terms of data? It has SE Nuke X so will my saved campaign be accessed by the admin?

How can I secure data on a VPS?

Thanks.

Depends who runs the VPS, search around the forum for your vps and find out what people are saying. There are loads of threads where the question is answered in depth, thats how i choose mine.

I used ScrapboxVPS.ca. I did a basis search on reviews for this guy but found nothing. Any help?

I've never heard about this service but I'd suggest you to try "imsnake vps", they offer a lot of tools with their service and also the speed is very fast.

Don't keep information you don't mind losing on your VPS. I doubt the admin is stealing your stuff, but the far more likely outcome is that your VPS could die and they wouldn't be able to retrieve your data, so frequent backups are a wise decision.

And if all else fails, you could always try squeezing your mouse into a condom.

Hey jason ive seen u on every vps thread speaking of them Ive been told theyre shady and have stolen people's data, can anyone confirm this or that they're good?

if you are looking for preloaded vps remember that they have access to all your data without loggin in. For you all your files on c: etc. etc. For them it's just a folder. Stay away from problems like these.

Cheers.

An admin is highly unlikely to take time out to sift through your data.

Never heard of them but dotvps.biz are reliable, had a fair few boxes off them!
