Some still work, but Reddit's API changes have made many older bots and scrapers unreliable.

Older bots are no longer trustworthy since the update. Whichever one you come across now verify the age so you don't throw money away plus put your account in the red with Reddit.

I’d say steer clear of Reddit bots. They might seem useful at first, but there’s a real risk of getting banned once your page grows.

reddit is constantly evolving nd hence outdated bot will eventually go obsolete. Instead of loking for outdated bots which may stop operating at any time in future, I would prefer bots that have been frequently updated.

Honestly most Reddit tools got wrecked after the API changes and fingerprinting updates. That said I've been testing Pigbam lately and it actually works since they use GoLogin for browser isolation and residential proxies instead of datacenter ones. They have a free trial month and if you give feedback they extend it another four months which is pretty solid for testing. Not shilling but worth looking into if you need something that still runs.

most of the out of the box bots are dead or get your accounts nuked instantly now. if you just need to scrape public data, writing a simple python script with playwright or selenium still works fine without even touching the api. but for posting and engagement... yeah, it is a massive cat and mouse game. unless you are running anti-detect browsers with high quality residential proxies and warming up accounts slowly, you will get banned within hours. honestly feels like more work than it is worth these days unless you have a lot of time to burn.
I'm trying to create my own and I've got pretty much everything done. I've got browsing through finding and browsing through subreddits with scrolling and stuff. My next steps are auto upvote but commenting and replies will be hard. I need to humanize responses and chatbots are pretty easy to detect so that'll be a hurdle.

All the publicly available (SaaS) options won’t get you far these days, there’s only so many unique fingerprints that a tool can generate and as soon as a userbase picks up in numbers issues arise. Privately ran/built solutions are the only way now for Reddit.
