I was looking into buying this a while ago but unsure because of all the other SEO tools I have purchased over the past year and a half. I know I want to by Ubot next and wish WordAi was a one off fee. Anyone have any input on it as I have not seen anyone speaking about it in a long time.

Well.. I have a big set of Keyword Research Tools. I rarely use any tool in my keyword Research. But when I do, I use Market Samurai. It works great for me. You can download and try it anyway.

In most of my keyword Research I use :-

1 - Keyword Planner
2 - Google.com :)

I wouldn't recommend Market Samurai. From my perspective it's almost useless nowadays. Everything I need now for my keyword research is free Google Keyword Planner and Semrush.

I'm pretty sure I downloaded this in the downloads section awhile back. Go look for it there and then you can see if you like it for free.

I know of the work around but did not want to was my time installing if it's pointless. I will stick with google keyword planer then.

I wouldn't recommend market samurai, I think your money would be better spent elsewhere. Google Keyword tool is more than capable to help you with Keyword Research if you're just starting out.

Google keyword tool alone can't help you verry much... but if you combine more free tools you can do for free what you do with market samurai!

If you're on a budget MS is ok, though def inferior to other options on the market.

If you want a good keyword research tool check out SEcockpit. It's a monthly subscription though ($97/mo).

If you can afford it that's the way to go.

I sometimes use it if i get lazy to check competition

I sometimes use Market Samurai, and it seems good to me. It's better to get a trial version and check if you like it or not :) always use the trial feature first whenever available ;)

I gave up on MS when they switched to Bing. It was already a piece-of-shit slow program before that, but the switch to Bing killed it for me. I got SERP Attacks and never looked back.

It's true that Google Keyword Planner is very good, but MS goes more in-depth showing competition and more. You can add your own site URL to the SEO Comp chart to get an idea what chance you have of competing with it.
I've tried other tools but for me MS is best. I use it every day.

I use MS all the time i get where people are coming from with google keyword etc and all the free told out there but with ms you get everything in one box i like the fact as well i get a email telling me how well my keywords are doing again all in one place no hassle.

Still use in conjunction with some other tools but it's not as effective as it once was.

Use keyword Planner for keyword research and Market samurai for seo competition check. Works for me!

As everyone else said, MS isn't the best for keyword research. I use it for the SEO competition Analysis, which shows the top 10 results and a lot of their SEO factors (domain age, page rank, CF, TF, links to page, links to domain, domains linking to page, domains linking to domain, and a few other on page factors).

The other option I've found that works well for that is SEO Quake, which is a free plugin. I think MS has a cleaner interface, but if you don't have it already, you might be better off with the free option. This goes for keyword research as well.

I use SEMRush, its works well for me. I've heard many bad reviews about MS as it is very slow. So i would recommend you to try web based services. You can get semrush free 14days trial. Do a google search "imdiscounts semrush coupon code".

i never knew that it uses bing(thanks for letting me know :) ), but it still asks for an adwords account for KW research. you can read more here if you want to:

Are you guys finding it more difficult with Google's new Keyword Planner? I really liked the older Keyword Tool. It seemed to give me more results when I looked up keywords and a "better" estimate of searches for a given keyword/keyphrase.

There could be a way to navigate around this but so far I don't like the new update

You can use it for free using the advice from this thread
