So because Google changes something like they constantly do, you're giving up?

1. For bright future, look into selling different type of lamps and light sources
2. Stable stuff goes for horses

Any other replies

Since you already have experience in SEO I would just adjust my strategies to work with ever-changing nature of the industry. If that's something you don't want to do though, you can switch your focus to something related, like CRO or PPC.

Come on, no one can answer that. :smashfrea
Just do what you already do while find another better business to jump.

But if you want an answer, I give you straight answer, it's GOLD Biz.

Just my opinion but in ecommerce I have seen an upward trend in survival items. I believe gold & silver is saturated but a good investment.
As far as stable, go with items that are necessities (what people need everyday). (think simple- paper towels, sugar, etc) Whenever there is an economic struggle, people tend to bunker down and grab what they need not what they want. Just an idea. Im not sure what you are looking to do, but if you use your SEO skills and apply them to these types of goods, you could make it big. I personally don't have the capital to do this myself but it has been the talk of many people I know that do. My advice could be garbage, but I thought if it helps someone then its good news.

There is no kind of business that has any bright future, the only business that can have a bright future is something you put your heart and soul into and work hard and play hard.

Take a step back

Take a breather

Look at what has caused your business to take a downturn and then fightback...

Just because google has made a few changes doesn't mean there arn't other methods/ways of making your business (SEO) still work without using google.

There are plenty of internet marketing forums that you can combat with SEO service.

There are SEO services making a business by using these kind of forums alone.

Giving up on the business you've done for the past 3 years WILL end up as your downfall!

cant say anything after reading your information.
i'm actually confused to tell ya something
its not difficult to say something to you...

Thanks for your kind words

I think the SEO world has changed quite a bit since the penguin update a few months back. Strategies have obviously had to change but so has the business landscape. The turnover of clients has gone up dramatically which means you can't rely on having a couple of clients. I am guessing this is where you are at and your clients' rankings have tanked so you are thinking it isn't long before you haven't got anything coming in? My advice would be to stick at it though. Concentrate on getting lots of small clients rather than a couple of big clients to give you security and work out things you need to change in your link building process. The reason being that you have 3 years of knowledge that you would be throwing away otherwise. Imagine going through the hard work of that all over again!

In terms of sorting out the penalties, Matthew Woodward (a member on here) has a good blog on how to analyse and fix future and current penalties http://www.matthewwoodward.co.uk/tutorials/how-to-analyse-your-backlink-profile-for-current-future-penalties

I hope that helps

The future is in the net...Thats what we are all doing here. You have to find an area that you excel in and you enjoy...Nobody can give you direction, the web is as big as your imagination. I have offline business. There is nowhere else that with hosting and a $5 domain where you can start a new business. The opportunities are endless if you work hard at it.
