Hi,
I heard all the time that the money is on the list when people are talking about affiliate marketing.
I just want to that how many guys here are making good money with clickbank without a list, say $100/day (for the minimum)?

Come on guys, is it real that no one can make good money without a list? I want someone to say I'm wrong here

Not everyone has a list or needs one. It depends on what you're trying to do. It does help but it's not required.

Along side SEO and PPC, any other types of traffic work well with cb?

lists just squeeze more lifetime value out of each customer, but they're not absolutely necessary. you can easily make a profit by just making 1 sale per conversion, but some people see that as a lot of wasted traffic.
lists just allow you to repeatedly upsell to all your opt-ins so you get the most you possibly can out of your traffic. the downside is it requires more work to maintain the interest of the list.
lists are more of a long-term affiliate strategy. if you make yours big enough (like the ones the gurus have), then making money off of it becomes a cakewalk.

I do fairly well with a list of ZERO.
No PPC.
Just a website that I spend 2 hours a month with SEO.
I can't stand getting all those emails from the gurus & wanna be's so I don't want others to suffer the same from me.

PinkPanther Same here no list and a few sites I do a few hours per month too sometimes and make decent $$$$

$100/day / $25 = 4 sales, so you need to get 4 sales a day, let's say the landing page converts at 1:50, you'd need 200 hops, that's like 10 visits/per hour/per day. Seems pretty possible to me.

i go with clickbank about 6 month ago. No list just PPC to landing pages. Get $17 only...

A list is important, as it converts good with proper management in interest groups.

However its still not necessary, but helpful!!

It is not necessary to have a list to make money with clickbank. Just select a product and choose some good keywords. Make a landing page and start driving traffic writing articles, press releases and blog commenting etc. If you want to grow your business then you should consider having a list where you may blast your offers from time to time. It will help your business grow. But first you must know how to manage your list to make it responsive. I am making decent money with clickbank with and without a list.

Check out Jeff Johnson's product launch guide (it's free). You dont need a list and it can bring in some good money.

You could also try article marketing and using linkwheels to a hub or squidoo with feeder blogs?

No list here, will be looking to get one on my next launch though. I do pretty well myself...just drive the traffic and make conversions, and there's really no need for a list.

Although, if Google decides to drop you, you don't have a lot to fall back on.

I'm an Apex Affiliate with CB (the last 2 years running) which means I'm in their top 1% of all affiliates.

I am doing some list building off of the traffic I buy to drive to my CB offers, but I don't make the majority of my CB earnings because of my lists. My lists are gravy.

I use Banners, Media Buys, PPC & PPV to drive my CB business.

Cheers,

Peter

Thanks guys, my best week was 3 sales and the worst is 0. I've just started with cb since May and my traffic is from organic SEO only (I got 2 checks paid so far). it's really strange that my landing pages just cannot move to the first page, they are stuck at page 2 and 3. People say I need to build more links and yes, I have been building links for them. What I have been doing about link building is:
1. build web 2.0 blogs (around 20)
2. use scrapebox to build links for the web 2.0
3. post articles on goarticle.
Is that enough or I need to do more? I heard people say don' t use scrapebox links direct to the money page, is that true?
My keyword are not competitive, they are long tail and product keyword (+review in some case).

Youre just shooting yourself in the dick by not building a list as you grow as an affiliate. It makes no logical sense to me as to why someone would rather get one sale per person as opposed to selling the same person multiple items later down the road.

Benefits of List Building:
-unaffected by google algorithm changes/slaps
-market to them over and over again
-self liquidating

lists aren't absolutely necessary. However there are several niches where having a list would be profitable Weight loss, Internet marketing are prime examples

lists arent necessary, but the question should really be "why WOULDNT you want to build a list?"
