Hey, I was wondering if anyone has experience working with Quora, I've seen the ste around, and I know it works kinda like yahoo answers, I'm not trying necessarily to get traffic from it (its users) but probably use it asa parasite, what are your thoughts?

Quora is a relatively new question and answer site but if you can find a niche with some activity, Quora is a great way to find content topic ideas. And learn more about how people at Google think about their search product, you can get some actual SEO value out of Quora even if they no-follow your external links.
 
I don't think that you could use Quora as a Parasite!

It is extremely useful as a Q&A site, and you get instant answers to your questions.

I've been lurking around Quora for the last year now!

well I mean, i believe you can use it as parasite by using keywords, also not sure if it would help since the lenguaje of my site isn't english...
 
Yup, you can definitely use Quora as parasite. I have seen quora questions rank high in SERPs without any backlinks.
Just ask a question from one account, wait for 1 hour and then answer that question from another account. Make sure that you actually answer the question and not just place link or your answer will get downvoted and collapsed. You can include a relevant link somewhere in the answer but try to be as natural as possible.

Edit: I won't recommend Quora for non-english sites.
 
You can use it as parasite, no issues :)
It will help a lot for your site metrics and SERPS.
But as your site is non-english, try to find out some similar niche question and answer some meaningful and throw your URL into it.
Or else, drop a new query with some look-a-like genuine question.
 
well I mean, if i'm using it as parasite, I should care only about it getting on google results... I mean I'm not looking for people inside quora to check out my link but rather for people who search on google to find it, donno if that makes any sence

Quora is the easiest place to write new content and share content from the web.
They organize people and their interests you can find, collect and share the information.
 
It is a free Q&A engine for any topic that facilities research opportunities, professional connections and open ended dialog. For some serious marketing, Quora is the place.
 
All you have to do to suck juice out of Quora is get links sticking to popular / relevant questions and move into pushing more.

Don't forget about Yahoo Answers though because they still bring value.
