So I've just made a pinterest account and I will build my own website once that account is big enough. However I'm still not sure on how to get images for my website?

I know some just copy the images from where you get the recipes, but as your website grows isn't the likelihood of getting busted increases as well? I don't think people will be happy with me stealing their pics even if I give them a link back?

Another option is buying stock photos/finding free images, but it only works in some cases since some recipes are rather specific thus hard to find a matching image.

Anyone who has done this before can give me some suggestions?

I heard CEOSam is in the recipe for disaster niche.

I don't deal with recipes, but do have to find a lot of pictures. You could try editing the pictures to the point where a google or tineye search doesn't recognize it anymore. I've had success changing the size and messing around with the hue. Adding some text. I just play with them in photoshop. I'm sure there's a free option if you look around a bit too.

Other than that I think your best bet is going to try finding free stock photos. Unless you are willing to go as far as making some of the recipes and taking some of your own pictures.

May be repinning images for now is the best way to go at least then the people who originally pinned the image will get credit. It will work well and give you exposure until you are able to provide images yourself if that is what you are looking to do.

I'm a terrible cook so cooking them is not really practical :(

you will be reported and banned if you steal images from recipe pages

Banned from Pinterest? That's why we have proxy

Hey Huy,
you don't even understand what is DMCA and what are proxies do. These are two completely different concepts used for different purposes.
Hongmonchoi told you about copyright and you're talking about getting an access to Pinterest from a different account.
If your website is a copy / paste based , then forget about it and start from reviewing your methods.
Regards.

Search google for royalty free pictures, or scrape them from tumblr..

There are many pictures for the recipe niche in the world wide web.

Also search for Public Domain Images and Creative Commons Zero.

Copy them for now, once you're making money you either buy stock pics or hire someone to create them for you. :p

Never tried the recipe niche myself but from what I have seen it does seem like a very popular niche. Using copied images for now but maybe leaving a some kind of disclaimer with credit to the owner of the image until you can get your own images sorted.

To copy-paste the whole recipe from source site can be pretty dangerous. You can just copy a small part of recipe and place a source-link in the end. That is what puneetas3 does in his journey.

Well similar recipes are spread all over every major recipe site. The key is to not copy and paste, but to also reword a bit, reformat, use restriction free images, etc.
