Anyone from NY city or state doing CPA through the major networks?

I'm still looking into which corporate structure to incorporate under, and I just came across the special NY taxes for affiliates. Not sure exactly how this works, but apparently a number of merchants dropped all their NY affiliates back in mid-2008 when this law was passed. It's not clear to me, however, if this applies to the CPA networks like C2M, COPEAC, Neverblue.

Any New Yorkers promoting through these networks? Any issues in terms of getting accepted because of the tax laws, or do they only apply to direct networks like Amazon?

Are you talking about this?

http://www.tax.state.ny.us/pdf/memos/sales/m08_3s.pdf

there is a list on nyaffiliates.com and all of the programs aren't that popular. Basically NY passed the law so any company with affiliates in NY technically have a presence and therefore have to charge sales tax to shipments to NY state.

Another move by NYS to kick out as much business as possible, but I wouldn't worry about losing your cpa account since they would just bar you from promoting specific programs.

Is it good at all ,to open new york city llc?
I need llc to open affiliate network and my partner from New York city itself. Anyone can tell,if this is good idea at all? taxes and so on?
First I wanted to open llc in wyoming,I am non usa resident. But he told, that possible,if even we 'll open in wyoming, but if bank account in new york,we'll need to reregister llc in new york too,or similar.
Also, interesting in the above law,is that mean that some networks,'ll not work with us,cause of the new york registration?

NY is bad for business. Between taxes and constant changes by the local politicians it's a nightmare.

Ye,I see, that New York is not good for llc. But the question is ,if we 'll register in wyoming, and one of the owners is New York citizen,is that mean that we 'll pay tax automatically for New York city too?

NYC has it's own additional payroll taxes different from the state. I'd ask a CPA or do some more research since things get tricky.

Thanks, I see some info in google about it,but all of it about real business, not about online business. For example this site http://www.scorporationsexplained.com/incorporate-my-business-in-another-state.htm
