Any Member here make money with Amazon?

Hi BHW.
Am asking this because i really want to start making money with amazon. But people rarely talk about them here.

* Do anybody here make money with amazon affiliate program?

* Is there any service here that provide Amazon keyword and designing the site with one or two contents? (just like they do for MNS for adsense)
Please if there is one, i do appreciate if you link to his/her service thread.

Am not looking for short term profit, am ready to do seo and build the site until it start earning some good income from amazon. Even if it will take 2- 5 months.

All my earnings are coming from Adsense.
So if anything happen to my egg and basket (adsense account), then am finished.

Yes, a lot of people make money with Amazon. If any of your Adsense sites are about products that can be found on Amazon, why not try monetizing with Amazon and see if you make any sales? If you have no idea where to start, try starting with Amazon's own omikase widget. It is like the Adsense of the Amazon widgets as it automatically pulls products based on what the searcher is looking for and the content of your site.

idk, maybe you can't use search properly, but there are lots of threads about Amazon already, you can bet you ass, that quite a few members here are making good money on Amazon

Yeah i did some money with amazon when i started. Amazon converts like crazy plus they give you a 24 hrs cookie, the problem is that commisions sucks so try to find a product $100+. TIP: Create a facebook fanpage about the product you want to target, fulfill it with shit linking to amazon and spam the heel out with xrumer/sb/senuke and in a week or so you will be on page 1. If people converts well with that product make a webpage if not move on to the next product DO NOT GIVE UP, there is money in amazon.
And please guys don't start bullshit in this thread like "suscribed", if you want to suscribe just do it and move on, don't fullfill this thread with trash.

i have added one of those amazon widget to my blog, i have never have any conversion.

My readers don't buy, they only search for info.

Amazon banners don't seem to convert too well.

Try using carousel widget or embedding your links into text. Conversions are about 7.6% for me when I do that as opposed to 0.5% with other widgets.

I totally agree, although I only have a couple of sites that make regular income, they have only text links, no banners, no widgets. They did not work well for my products. I also dumped adsense as that only seemed to detract what I wanted them to do, buy the product.

I used to make in excess of $20k/year with 2 amazon sites. The key is to make big with good info/content otherwise they don't trust your site and won't buy much. Also just to make an idea the money I was making with those sites were 10% AdSense and 90% Amazon. Depending on the niche, Amazon can make you a lot more money than AdSense.

The problem with Amazon is..
Most high end retail products they sell are found by consumers inside Amazon itself..or..they do a search for the product name..and Amazon itself will often come up with the search term because its so strong.
Or..when the consumer picks an item like frumples big bean bag etc..the actually retailers site itself will show up in the serps followed by Amazon.
So....its damn hard to compete with many of the keywords that pay decent amounts..and the smaller stuff pays peanuts.
Yes..someone will jump in this thread with an anecdotal story how they kill it big time with amazon..I dont care..its a hard marketplace..I have known of a few people with huge cloaked sites with masses of longtail keyword terms..U just dont want to get spotted by amazon

I was making about $200 a month for like 9-10 months using only WP Robot and some dirty links. I was using the best spinner to spin the product and the comments, but about a month ago all 5 of my autoblogs took a serious beating and my Amazon commissions are in the dirt. I have tried to find something to cloak the affiliate links so Google does not make forced anal love to my site for not following their retarded rules of "thou shall not make money with anyone but google and sites with more than 2 affiliate links will be screwed."

MY ADVICE IS TO CLOAK YOUR OUTGOING AFFILIATE LINKS.

For now making $3 via Amazon+Autoblog(but now the site i delete it coz no time to handle it)..really hate it because the commission rate are low but it still can make ?K per month.. BUT Amazon are really worth and easy to make money.. believe me its simple..

Unfortunately the California legislature decided to fuck over it's citizens by forcing Amazon to report all earnings for CA affiliates as if they were an employer in California. The legislators thought "WooHoo, we can get a lot more tax money" that way. Instead Amazon just dropped all it's California affiliates.

So instead of making millions in additional tax revenue as the legislators anticipated, they just cut the income of a lot of California citizens and lost a lot of money that was flowing into the state generating taxes as it was spent.

Politicians are short sighted morons. :rant:

You are right, it has been resolved. I am a resident of California and I now have an active Amazon account again. But I did lose it for a while until this situation was resolved.

I had 2 whitehat sites with super high quality content. They both got penalized (manual penalty) for some reason beyond my understanding. So revenue went from $2-4k/mo to $50-100/mo. I will make new sites but will take a while as I try to dominate an entire large niche.

Choosing the products is like any market research. Thing is you have high competition and capped (4%) commissions on electronics so I'd stay away from electronics. Whatever you do, do not make shitty sites with shitty content or micro niche sites with just a few pages. They don't work well. If visitors don't trust your sites and you're having a review sites, they don't buy. Also you need over 300visits/day to make any money. For some reason with less than 300visits/day I make no money at all.

Do not go for cheap products. If you choose cheap products you have to sell a lot. To expensive isn't great either because most people don't buy expensive stuff easily (they research a lot of time before buying and that Amazon cookie doesn't last much).

Regarding conversion, a site that looks like a blog doesn't convert well, unless you make it look like a personal review blog and give it a very personal look. Also a blog doesn't have good usability and internal link architecture. What you need, ideally, is a site that looks like reviews.cnet.com with a linking structure more close to an ecommerce site - good organization, products easy to locate, lists of featured/cheap/best/recommended/etc. Just try to think like a real visitor and ask yourself if you'd buy from your affiliate link, if you find the site useful, etc.

I had electronics reviews sites and competition was pretty strong. Maybe other types of products are easier to make money with. Keep in mind that it is best to build a large site for your product range with lots of products and good information.

That being said, do not expect the kind of money you make with pharma, health, porn, etc.

I make ok money with amazon I know how to make money I dont make any money with adsense however. Would be interested in those who know alot, willing to share some knowlege.
