Hey, like in topic, I suffer significant opening rate drop. I use Sendy + AmazonSES. Tried to change subject line, the whole email etc. - still my results are 10-20% (have been 50-70% before). Anyone could help?

SES is trash. I used them years ago. Mailchimp was great but then they changed the payment model and its not unlimited emails (not sure how many emails you send per day, week, month). Aweber is ok and they allow most type of promotional emails. Their open rates are decent. Convert Kit has better open rates but are more annoying to deal with and they make it hard to clean your list.

I do cold emails and Mailchimp would end up in Promotions tab ALWAYS

I'm planning to use SendInBlue next week to hit 40,000 people. Anyone got experience with them?

There are lots of factors, not only changing the subject line can increase the open rate. Let's say:
  • Inboxing Rate.
  • You are sending many emails to the same person in a certain period, they can be tired of having your offers. So they will avoid your email for sure. I personally do it, LOL.
  • Your offers/ subject line can not be attracting audiences.
  • Etc...
I just mentioned some possible issues that I faced in a JV project.

Clean up your list, send your best converting emails to the new fresh list. Do more experiment to find out the reason.

Then you should go with your own mailing solution.

Build your reputation to the audiences, before sending out offers to them.

As I said I had way better opening rate before. Now I created new gmail account, still the same problem, so I think it might be on the SMTP side ?

That’s why I mentioned above possibilities. They are from my experience. You may have over used the list.

Maybe, but you can try new setup.
