Lately, I’ve been testing Reddit to get local exposure for small businesses — like salons, restaurants, and real estate agents in the US and Europe. City-based subreddits (r/London, r/NYC, r/Toronto, etc.) seem to work really well when posts look natural, not promotional.

Just curious — has anyone here tried Reddit for local lead generation or traffic?

What kind of niches or post styles worked best for you?

you have to scour and find the right subreddits and in my experience with reddit promo there needs to be a certain unique quality or reason for people to care. it is a great place to find traffic if you actually are sharing something about a business that is interesting. post style from the small sample size i have from local promo has been best when it is very casual and even talking about a stand out point from your local for instance

From the data I've pulled, posts that include genuine customer experiences or answer specific location questions (like "best brunch spot near X neighborhood") tend to perform way better than anything that feels like an ad.
