Any link building guides for beginners?

Hi guys,

Can you recommend any guides about backlinglink building? I currently use a lot of SEO serivces but now want to take a stab at SEO myself since I have the very basic understanding and time to invest.

To clarify, a guide which maybe shows where to start when it comes to building links, what kind of links/process to start with for a new website and the speed & quantity to building links at.

Also please let me know any programs that will be necessary! I have about a $1,000 budget to play with.

It was a great read and got my head around a few things. Learn the ins and outs of doing backlinks properly before using things like scrapebox and GSA etc. Thats what im doing anyway. Good luck

If you are newbie in SEO for Google, I suggest you to choose keywords that are in low competition. So you can rank them.Link building methods that work for 2014: link pyramid model, private blog network.

As you want to learn SEO here are some major points you must look at:
1.Selecting right keyword, low competition with high search volume.
2.Target the local area where you want your ranking.
3.Optimize your website as per the keywords.Don't overoptimize them.
4.Get some high pr sites for linkbuilding like web 2.0 site, press release sites, social bookmarking, high pr private blog post, guest post.
5.Some social network posts
6.Indexing of backlinks made.

I would definitely take a look at building your own Private Blog Network. PBNs are extremely powerful and efficient for building quality backlinks.

I can't post links still, but just google "how to build private blog network" and you will find a bunch of articles explaining it.

Thank you for the advice. I gues my question is, when we say link pyramid model, are we talking about Tier 1,2,3,4 etc? Also what does it exactly mean when we say PBN? Are you ranking each website in youyr PBN? What does you PBN consist off to be successful? I am very new to SEO but I am willing to invest all my time because I am starting to love the idea of SEO.

Regarding point 4, where do I find these web 2.0's press releases, social bookmarking, guest post sites?? -> Are we talking GSA? or is this work all manual? If it is, for a new website, how many links will I need?

Regarding point 5, what is the difference between social network post and bookmarking?

wordpress, tumblr, squidoo for web 2.0
prweb, sbwire, emailwire for press release
SB you can search on net, you will get a lot select with high page rank sites
guestpost you need to outsource which will cost you as per niche related with good PA/DA $30 max.

All will be manual, keep on sending them in the new site it will surely help to boost the ranking.

By the term social network i mean , facebook page for your site, linkedin, pinterest, twitter, video creation and upload in youtube, and send likes, comments, subscribe, ratings etc.

What you need to know is how to write a well optimzied onpage seo article
Then, learn how to leave quality comment on authority blogs in your niche
Finally, do guest post, yes just one referal link but it works and safe for yr site on the long run.
Keep patient and follow the white hat school.
