Was a big fan of UNF but they just haven't been able to get it together plus I'm getting completely inaccurate competition analysis from the program so looking for an alternative besides Traffic Travis which is terrible / slow to use.

Are there any other keyword tools on the market (desktop applications) that are still working after the keyword planner (and working properly)? I'm surprised Keyword Scout died out with such a high price tag -- disappointing. Any others?

Long Tail Pro is my favorite. It's easy for analyzing the competition plus it works pretty fast. It also works with keyword planner.

another option is market samurai, but I prefer LTP.

I use Term Explorer every day, for all my microniche sites :) Traffic Travis is a great free alternative.

What exactly is wrong with UNF? I'm still using it regularly and haven't had any issues. I have noticed the competition analyzer is not that accurate, but as far as a tool that accepts proxies and can do analyzing in mass numbers, I think it's the only one on the market. Micro Niche Finder used to be pretty good, but it doesn't accept proxies and there's no way to do bulk research with it.

Long tail pro is also limited on bulk research. The problem with UNF at the moment is the competition analyzer is completely inaccurate; it's reporting "very hard" keywords as "very easy". If the competition is inaccurate, then the whole core function of the software is missing is it not? I'm still using it right now along with Traffic Travis but TT can't match the speed of UNF. I hope the new developer works out the competition analyzer soon; too bad Clyde sold his customers off.

I use Micro Niche Finder and Market Samurai combined. I always get good results with these!

I just created one for all its worth, on fateria(period)con , just look for keyword density or keyword analytic. Should work , i hope.
