    Hi,
I am going to develop a Hotel Directory and I planned to use Joomla. Would you please help me to find a good Joomla plugin which will help me to display hotel details, photos, user reviews in separate tabs.

Is there any way to get reviews from sites like TripAdvisor, VirtualTouristor Y! Travel?

Could you suggest any free template for my project.

    Thank You.

    Hi:)
There is sobi2 and its really really powerful. It has like additional extensions. Its simply the best when it comes to directories.

You can also do it with listbingo as classified ads.

Both of them are quite nice. You need to find what you like the most. Both of them has maps, slideshows, ratings, comments from users etc..

Wow! I'm quite glad I'm not the only one that prefers Joomla! to WordPress ... whether it's a blog or a simple website; Joomla! all the way!

You do have many options - have you searched the extensions database?

There's Sobi2, AlphaContent and Mosets Tree - if I remember correctly then AlphaContent and Mosets tree creates Directories similar to Yahoo; but everything is always customizable!

    Hope that helps! :)

Yazzou made a good point. You can use a content construction extension. jseblod is very very good for example. You can find more. Its needs a bit more advanced knowledge though so if you are not familiar with that leave it for now in my opinion.

To Lynhs : Joomla is good too and i prefer it as you do too. Everything is good to be honest as long as you know what to do. Wordpress has the automatic feed ping which is awesome but joomla has way more things to extend your site ( i dont know if its necessary though).

If you want to ping your rss use jcrawler or something like that.

You can use VirtueMart in catalogue mode which has some nice features, such as photo gallery, ratings, etc..
