I purchased the domain name wpthemesforum.com a while ago , I was thinking of running a forum on it about the wordpress themes. It seems it more time consuming than I anticipated and I just don't have enough time to maintain a forum.

Any ideas what to do with it ?

Donate it For real now, if you're not planning to use it, try to sell it. I am not an evaluator, but I believe you'll at least get your money back. Who knows, maybe there's someone there who really wants to start a specific forum on wp themes and is willing to spend more for your domain. I really don't know any alternatives. Good luck!

you could try to find some partners, split profits with them, running a forum by yourself is a hard work, if not interested you could sell, name has some potential, but will people pay a lot for it - i don't think so

Contact 20 or more theme creators from themeforest. Tell them about how in a year your forum is going to be the website that all theme purchasers will visit to compare themes. Tell them how you would like them to be Mods. Hopefully if the forum idea has any value, they will accept it and start discussing their themes on your site.

Thanks for the input guys, I don't want to sell it instead I may start a forum and hand it over to other who are interested in it.

You could try creating a forum then flip it for a huge profit if you want.

I would build a forum on it. Possibly related to wordpress themes

I'm in dire need of visiting a forum like that at the moment. WPMU is giving me a headache

As far as I heard you need to fake accounts at first and make the discussions with split-personas of yourself talking to each other in the same threads etc. It takes time. If you have some friends who can help out or you make it worthwhile for people to post in (as in to seek help with their purchase threads or other where people give advice on potential buyers/sellers) it may work.
