Hi,

I'm in the travel niche so I haven't any income from these travel partners since covid 19 :-( My website is up and running and I have many visitors, but they simple doesn't convert because of covid... it's about a city somewhere on the world...

any ideas?

Ideas? Lol. Nothing is going to change until quaratine restrictions are lifted so you just have to deal with it and work on something else. You can thank politics for that. Or work on promoting local travel within that area or region.

I'm in this market as well and have been working on e-comm the entire year.

Guys, but what about hi-tech stuff? What about innovating? What about offering your visitors, say, some virtual 360-degree VR tours? Or maybe it's time to cook up something completely NEW and YET UNSEEN that will allow you to blow ALL your competition out of the water.

I get the sentiment but I think the situation that we're in is also a chance to innovate. I'm not in the travel niche personally but I'm constantly trying to innovate in other fields. It is hard as hell and no, I have not come up with anything game-changing yet. But I think this is the time to really think out of the box.

Target people in the same country where that city is located, yet results will be poor, Nobody really wants to travel now.

Lol

Sorry but 360, VR, Videos etc.. are not a replacement. Especially I would not pay for any of that lol
But hey some dumb, eh sorry desperate ppl are paying for so-called flights to nowhere. Get their info and you have a goldmine of suckers you can sell this stuff to.

Now the trend is " Gov telling locals to visit local tourism attraction "

That´s nuts, I mean, it would be risky too to go through the whole "experience" of being in the same closed space with many people... Even more if they actually eat inside having to take masks off!

got Limit as Usual. You get it wrong in the sense the Plane will be Full of passengers.

Roughly like just 20 or so in the plane and OF course wear masks etc do necessary hygience measurements

I have seen people here in the USA drive to something not too far, so there is travel going on but local. I think local travel may increase, so is there a way to offer that in your websites?

Travel niche will be futile until everything fall in place.

My travel websites are all down. It is a very hard time for us.
And I don't see any light before summertime next year when COVID will be behind us.
The only thing you can do is writing for the local audience and focus on your home country and prepare keywords for next year.

I bought a website on a totally different niche to make some diversification for this winter so I can earn a bit during that time. And I work on some content I want to have ready for next year.
I still sell a few backlinks on one of the travel websites so it is not completly dead if you are not asking too much.

so roughly how much you sell your backlinks now since so call " if " you not asking too much.

At this point in travel time, a very unprofitable niche, since people are in a panic about what is happening, the only option is to find countries with a mild form of quarantine and start thinking something

I have a travel site. I've been promoting companies that deal with flight/holiday refunds.
in the meantime I've been writing content that I will put up when travel restrictions are one day lifted.

You can look at your site, it would be interesting to familiarize yourself with the content?

How about giving advice more than talking about the destinations to go? For e.g. how to pass health check at foreign airports, how to stay safe, things to do and avoid in several related travel destinations, etc.

I was in a travel niche once. Most people can find where to go from other sources (and they mostly already have destinations in mind), but struggling to fully understand on "how" to get there to enjoy the travel. This would perfectly fit as people in some countries can still travel freely while others cannot.

Well more inputs from others might be best.
You are right
Thank you, that is, you can adapt to problems and make it more profitable for yourself

ive seen some companies try the high tech thing but really its not what people are interested in right now, if your country doesnt allow local tourism either its probably better to switch to another job in the meantime
