how do these work? does digitalocean provide 1-click installer with the droplet app? kinda like cpanel with softaculous?

Droplet its like a Linux VPS, you need to install and manage everything yourself manually.
You can try Siteground, they didn't ask me for any proof of adress.

you can do the same on namecheap. Just fund your wallet with crypto / BTC and use it as you wish

digitalocean / linode provide VPS (virtual private servers). They offer a fuckton of flexibiltiy compared to your usual webhosting service, but you need a bit of technical knowledge to get it up and running

digital ocean just blocked me lol. Still looking for if anyone has any ideas
wpx is expensive for me and linode might be the one but they don't offer paypal if I don't have any option left I will choose them.
Siteground have way too many bad reviews plus I'm anti-AIG groups

Namecheap VPS I think they don't ask for any verification docs. As for quality I am not sure.
