I would need a software that can pull research data from the Google Keyword Tool and that can accomplish simple operations with the keyword lists: copy to clipboard, save, export, etc.

Adwords Editor provided by Google is not good for that. Any idea?

Try Market Samurai, Traffic Travis or Ultimate Niche Finder

Traffic Travis is nice but even if it pulls the data from adwords, it gives different monthly searches than the online Google Keyword Tool. I don't know why the numbers are very different

Using TrafficTravis for quite some time now. Never saw major difference in search results.
Take a look at Market Samurai or UNF.

I can vouch for market samurei too. Use the free trial.
I like the interface from MS more than TrafficTravis.

    gvncerri,

UNF is what you want. Inexpensive, super fast, 60 day money back guarantee. I own UNF... so I'm admittedly a little biased.

The best thing about all of these tools is that they all seem to have a free trial period or money back guarantee. It doesn't hurt to try them all.

I used Market Samurai for a long time, but since a year the rank tracker function didn't work anymore.

The keyword explorer still works fine, but the price might be to high if you only buy it for this function.
