Any good program for assuring internet privacy?

Hello everyone.

I am looking for any good programs/methods to assure myself some internet privacy. I've tried using proxies,
but they only seem to cover internet surfing (unless I'm doing something wrong).
I want to cover everything: web browsing, downloads, youTube, P2P, torrent, shopping, etc.
I know there is no such thing as perfect privacy, but a program or method that give good overall protection
for my whole computer would be good.

Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

There are no shortage of privacy related programs and techniques out there.

If you want to be really secure, use a VPN, with proxies, in a virtual machine.
