I'm a bit shocked because I (naively) hadn't taken into consideration the cost of maintaining a list and sending a newsletter to it.
I have over 11k former customers to whom I was planning on sending my newsletter, but now I realize that
1. Most of them won't be accepted by newsletter solutions because they aren't opt-in, older than 2 years, etc
2. Running a list of 11k subs will already be costly.
Also, I wanted to build my list via giveaways, but incentivized sign-ups convert much less than normal ones. So the cost of running the newsletter is important to me.
I'm actually surprised that IM here who I imagine are putting affiliate ads in their newsletters find it profitable, given the cost of solutions like Mailchimp.
Is anyone using EmailOctopus?
