Any good alternative to Google Analytics?

I know there is an alternative called Plausible.io but never used it. You may want to check it out.

I was looking for a good alternative too. Tried piwik pro, clicky, and smartlook. None of them was easy to set up and they either look like they have not been updated since the 80's or they lack crucial features. I just gave up and hope GA4 gets better since everyone is going to complain, or perhaps someone makes an actual good alternative now that Universal Analytics retires for good.

Let me know if you find any alternative that is worth while!

Yes, there are several good alternatives to Google Analytics, depending on your needs and preferences. Here are some options:

  1. Matomo (formerly Piwik) - Matomo is a self-hosted, open-source analytics platform that offers similar features to Google Analytics, including real-time analytics, visitor tracking, and conversion tracking. Matomo also offers greater privacy control, as all data is stored on your server rather than with a third-party provider.
  2. Clicky - Clicky is a web analytics platform that provides real-time data, heatmaps, and conversion tracking. Clicky is easy to set up and use and offers a range of pricing plans for businesses of different sizes.
  3. Mixpanel - Mixpanel is an analytics platform that focuses on user behavior and engagement. It offers features such as funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and A/B testing to help businesses better understand their users and optimize their products or service.
  4. Heap Analytics - Heap Analytics is an analytics platform that automatically captures all user interactions on your website or app, without requiring any manual tracking. Heap Analytics offers features such as funnel analysis, cohort analysis, and user segmentation to help businesses better understand their users and optimize their product or service.
  5. Open Web Analytics - Open Web Analytics is an open-source web analytics platform that is similar to Google Analytics in terms of functionality. It offers real-time analytics, visitor tracking, and conversion tracking, and can be self-hosted or hosted on a third-party server.

GA 4 is garbage and I can't even imagine we have to use it.
That's true...Even I am thinking of how tedious it will be to use GA4.

Will try to use clicky as per suggestions in this thread.

I have been using Plausible and it worked great for me

Microsoft has a free analytics service of which I have mixed opinions.

I've been struggling with GA4 too and it's just few days left for UA to become useless.

I even created s thread asking for how to get GA4 to report data similar to UA but no response. Below is my thread

In the meantime, I'm managing Yandex Metrica, you can try it out.
